OSBURG – Christoph/Christopher Osburg, born 4 May 1832 – seeking parents & baptism

I am researching my direct paternal OSBURG family line and would greatly appreciate any help with my ancestor Christoph (Christopher) Osburg, who was born 4 May 1832 in Prussia/Germany and emigrated to America in 1860.

Christopher left the Eichsfeld area on 1 July 1860. His surviving travel diary mentions Geismar, Heiligenstadt and other places in Eichsfeld before his journey to Bremen and America.

In North America, he married Maria Lea “Leah” Hagey on 23 July 1862. Their son Joseph Adam Osburg was born 14 November 1863, and another son, Bernhard/Bernard Joseph Osburg, was born 21 August 1866.

I am trying to locate Christopher’s German baptism/birth record and identify his parents. I would especially appreciate anyone who can search the Catholic church books for an OSBURG child named Christoph/Christopher born or baptized around 4 May 1832.

I am also very interested in the surviving “Diary of the Journey to America – Christopher Osburg, 1860–1868.” I understand from an older post on this forum that the original German handwritten diary was preserved by a descendant. If anyone knows the family who possesses the original, or knows whether scans or a complete German transcription exist, I would be extremely grateful for contact information.
